Has a Place for You
Visualize the most desperate situation you have ever witnessed. Maybe it
is a lame person, a hungry child, a burn victim ravaged by flames. Maybe
it is a once healthy, loved one, now, literally consumed by the disease
of cancer.
These examples are all very sad to witness. They all bring tears to our
eyes and sadness to our hearts. But, let me share the most desperate and
sincerely sad situation I witness. This would be a man or woman in their
60’s, or older, with a testimony of serving God for 20, 30 years or more
and yet is not a functioning member of any local church. They have never
found their PLACE in the Kingdom of God. They have never allowed the Lord
to plant them in a local church. They are at best “tumble weeds," never
becoming productive and stable in their walk with the Lord.
Psalm, chapter 92, verses 13 thru 15, tells us …Those who are planted in
the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall
still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing, to
declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no
unrighteousness in Him.
Examine your life. Are you productive and stable, or are you constantly
being blown about from place to place never really taking root anywhere.
God will plant you in the very best PLACE in His House. He will PLACE you
right where He wants you. His desire is that you have a life that is
productive, stable and powerful. Allow Him to PLACE you in a local
church, and flourish where you are planted. |
