THE BROKEN HALLELUJAH
Somewhere between suffering and hope lies the “cold and broken
Hallelujah.” This broken hallelujah is something we all feel and
experience, regardless of who we are or where we are from. It is the cry
of the hopeless, the agonized, the weary. It is a cry that echoes from
defeat, the cry of failure. It is the broken heart and shattered dream.
But, God makes all things good. Hallelujah!
Psalm 34:18 The Lord
is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
Psalm 51:17 The sacrifice you
desire is a broken spirit.
You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.
Psalm 147:3 He heals the
brokenhearted
and bandages their wounds. |
