The Bible is the infallible and inerrant word of God. It is then the final authority for all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13)
The Godhead Who has revealed Himself as one God existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, distinguishable but indivisible is eternal. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Man was created, tested and fell as recorded in Genesis and thereby is spiritually depraved and unable to attain to divine righteousness on his own. (Romans 5:12-18)
Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior of Mankind, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very man. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:14-18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6)
Jesus Christ is the King of kings and the Lord of lords, is now seated at the right hand of God, is ruling His Kingdom. (Daniel 7:9-14; Ephesians 1:20-22; 1 Timothy 6:14-16)
Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared unto his disciples. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 4:25)
The Lord Jesus Christ bodily ascended to heaven, was exalted to the right hand of God, and will personally, literally and bodily come again the Last Day. (John 14:2,3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
Sinners may be saved by grace through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins. (Ephesians 2:8-10; Hebrews 9:12,22; Romans 5:11).
Water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who is the fullness of the Godhead bodily, as manifested in the early church is necessary. (Acts 2:37-42; 8:16; 10:48; 19:5; Colossians 2:11-12; Mark 16:16-18)
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a real experience at or subsequent to being born again with spiritual evidence, namely speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-46; Galatians 3:14-15).
The gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12-14 and manifested in the early Church are for today.
Healing of the body by Divine power, or Divine healing in its various aspects as practiced in the early Church is for today (Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14)
The Table of the Lord, commonly called the Communion, The Lord’s Supper, or the Eucharist, should be practiced by believers often. (1 Corinthians 11:28-32; Matthew 26:26-28; Luke 22:19-20)
The Devil is real and personal, and there is eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire for the Devil and his angels. (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:15-15)
There is a reward of eternal life for believers and a consequence of eternal judgment for unbelievers. (Mark 9:43-48; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Revelation 20:10-15)
There is one true universal Church made up of genuine believers; but this one universal Church is also composed of many local churches in given localities. These churches are under the sovereign headship of the Lord Jesus Christ, exercise autonomous government under Him, administer all their local affairs and ministry, as well as propagate the Gospel. (Acts 15:22; 14:23; Matthew 16:18; 18:15-20; 1 Timothy 5:17)
Government is ordained of God; and the powers that be are ordained as ministers of God to us for good. It is therefore our position to support our government and be salt of the earth and light to the world as we continually manifest the Kingdom of God both present and to come. We are first citizens of the Kingdom of God and declare our loyalty to our national government and its leaders when consistent with our faith in the Scriptures as Christian citizens. (Romans 13; Luke 17:20-21; Matthew 6:10; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:19-22; 1 Peter 2:9-10)
God seeks the progressive maturing of the believer. (Romans 12:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24; 1 John 2:12)
God’s plan of finance for His work is through the tithes, offerings and alms of His people. (Malachi 3:8-12; Matthew 23:23; Hebrews 7:8-9) |
